Coaching for runners who want long-term results without exhaustion, obsession, or generic plans that aren't designed for real life.
You've never thought of yourself as a runner - but you're curious. There's no fitness test to pass, no deep end to jump into. We'll start small, build at your pace, and make running something you actually look forward to.
You've run before, maybe even raced, but injuries, burnout, or life got in the way. You want to rebuild properly this time and avoid repeating old mistakes.
You already run consistently but feel stuck. You want structure, smarter training, and guidance that helps you progress without tipping into overtraining.
You've signed up for your first 5k, 10k, half marathon (or beyond) and want to arrive on the start line confident, prepared, and healthy.
You want to train seriously, but work, family, and social life matter too. You need a plan that adapts, not one that makes you feel guilty for missing sessions.
Whether you've never raced or you're stuck in a plateau, if you want to enjoy running and improve steadily, you're in the right place.
Full disclosure - I am by no means an elite athlete. I've been running for around 15 years now. I did some competitive rowing at uni, and have been weightlifting on and off like most active people throughout my adult life.
The first 10 or so years of running, I would constantly work myself too hard following plans that didn't work for me, get injured, and lose all momentum. It wasn't until I started taking a holistic, long-term approach that I really started to love running, and my times improved.
A few of my friends noticed and asked how I was able to run so often without burning out. I offered to draw them up some plans, they loved it and convinced me to start doing this properly.
My goal isn't to make you survive hard training - it's to make running fit into your life so consistency becomes inevitable.
I really love helping people get what they want out of running without hurting themselves or letting it take over their life. Seeing how happy they are after getting the thing they wanted is priceless.
I'm currently training for UTS 50 at UTMB Snowdonia in May - one of the world's toughest 50k trail ultramarathons. I log every run on Strava, and a few of my athletes and I train together when schedules allow. Follow along to see exactly how I train, the process behind the plan, and what building towards a big race actually looks like week to week.
Simple, personal, and built around you from day one. This is a two-way coaching relationship, not a plan I hand over and leave you to figure out.
I'll take a look at your full history, see what worked and what didn't, and get to know your schedule and goals. If you're in Cambridgeshire, I'll come meet you for a run. Otherwise video works perfectly.
Built around your goals, your history, and your life. I use monthly training windows that progressively increase fitness, then reconfigure based on your progress and fatigue at the end of each month.
Any questions, worries, or thoughts - send them over. Some coaches do monthly check-ins. I much prefer hearing things as soon as they come up. I'll often be checking in on you too.
Pacing strategy, pre-race nutrition, race day nutrition, mental prep and visualisation - all tailored to you. If it's a race I'm not running myself, I'll pace you on the day.
If you have a smart watch, I'll get you set up with Intervals.icu - the training software I use to build and track your plans.
If you ever decide to stop training with me, I'll leave you with a clear plan and principles so you can continue training confidently on your own.
No tiers, no shortcuts, no nonsense. Everyone gets the same level of care, access, and attention.
One level of coaching. Everyone gets the same care, access, and attention.
No! It will make the training a lot better for you and me, though. If you have a Garmin, Coros, Wahoo or Suunto watch, I can send workouts direct to your device.
We work around you 100% of the time. If for whatever reason you can't do one workout, two, or miss a week entirely - we'll make it work. Life happens, and your plan will always reflect that.
We'll do very small intervals of runs between walks to begin with. If you have a fitness or smart watch I'll be able to monitor your fatigue levels, but you telling me honestly how each session feels will always be what I base things on.
It depends on what you want and how committed you are. If you put in the work, immediately. If you waste both our times, it's going to be a while.
No. I think you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.
Of course! We can fit parkruns into your training if that's an established part of your week. Running with your club is also absolutely fine and encouraged. I would hate for you to miss out on the best social elements of running.
It depends on the issue. If it's a slight issue, I'll recommend some exercises or assess your form. If you think it's something more serious, I'll recommend you talk to a physio or a trained medical professional. Your training will pause if it is something serious, and your payment window will be extended.
Please feel free to send me a WhatsApp or an email!
If that resonates, let's have a relaxed, no-pressure chat to see if we're a good fit.
